Dear colleagues,
CCARDESA gave a briefing on food security situation in the region on the 23rd July, 2020 to the Botswana Parliamentary Portfolio Committee for Agriculture, Land and Housing which met in Gaborone.
The briefing highlighted the regional drivers of food demand in the region and the threat posed by major disruptors among them climate change, plant and animal diseases and pest outbreaks as well as the COVID-19 outbreak.
