The Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development for
Southern Africa (CCARDESA) with the support of The Deutsche Gesellschaft
für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) conducted a three day training
on the use of a Rapid Loss Appraisal Tool (RLAT). The training was held
in Potchefstroom, South Africa from 4-7 June 2018. The aim of the
training was to create capacities for assessing food and harvest losses
using a tool which was developed by GIZ and tested in Ghana with a view
of adapting it for the SADC region.
