Dear CCARDESA Members,

Greetings!

Through the SADC Regional Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis Programme, SADC Secretariat and the World Food Programme have jointly launched an Online Survey on the Impact of COVID-19 on livelihoods, food security and nutrition in the SADC region.

The Survey enables people living in the 16 SADC countries to share their views on how COVID-19 has affected their lives and their households, and what decision-makers in Government, the private sector, development partners and humanitarian agencies should do to mitigate the current and future impacts of COVID-19. Attached is a letter of introduction from SADC Secretariat for more information.
You are, hereby, kindly invited to participate in the Survey and share your views!
Click the web-link below, and answer the questions in the Questionnaire on COVID-19 Impact:
https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=rtkqRtnXBkK4dHGx4Hl…

The Survey takes about 20 minutes to complete.
When finished, please remember to click the SUBMIT button at the end of the questionnaire so that we can receive your answers to the Survey questions.
Before joining the Survey, please make sure you will have secure internet connection for about 25 minutes just in case you may take longer.
Your information will be kept CONFIDENTIAL and you will not be required to provide your name.
In addition to your participation, we would greatly appreciate your kind assistance in sharing this invitation and web-link to participate in the Survey, with friends, family, colleagues, agricultural research and training experts, students, and development and humanitarian practitioners working in the fields of agricultural production (crop and livestock), trade, food security, nutrition, employment and social protection you may know in your countries as well as other SADC Member States and encourage them to participate and share the link with others they know.
Any assistance (or suggestions) you can provide to propagate the Web-Survey more widely in SADC member states would be greatly appreciated as well. This will help us achieve our target of 6,000 respondents region-wide.
The Survey will remain available online until Friday, 14 August 2020 when the data collected will be downloaded for analysis and report writing.
The Survey Report will be published online by the end of September 2020.
You have received this invitation to participate in the SADC COVID-19 Impact Survey because your views are very important to SADC and WFP.
Your comments on the Survey itself will also be greatly appreciated.
The Portuguese and French Versions of the Survey will also be available in the coming days.
Thank you for your kind participation and encouraging others to do the same.
Best regards,
Munhamo Chisvo
