Dear Dr. Podisi,
My name is Julia Dorbandt and I help coordinate the LEDS Global
Partnership Secretariat based at the GIZ in Germany. The LEDS GP is a
network of climate practitioners working on low-emission and
climate-resilient development. Through this open membership network,
members set priorities via our regional platforms in LAC, Africa and
Asia and help to design activities that fulfill common needs as they
relate to climate-resilient low emission development.
We have been asked by our members from the Africa LEDS Partnership to
re-launch a community of practice (CoP) on AFOLU. With its focus on
learning and technical collaboration related to common topics and
challenges in the livestock sector, we believe this CoP will be of great
relevance to the CCARDESA network (_concept note attached_).
The CoP is intended to be an interactive, multi-stakeholder network of
practitioners. It is a platform for ongoing collaboration to allow for
deeper learning and sustained participation, continuous access to tools
and expert assistance, and to foster champions that will serve as role
models for other countries in the regions.
We would greatly appreciate if you could help us spread the call for
this CoP and share this information with relevant actors and experts
across the SADC region.
