Dear distinguished colleague and friend,
We hope you are doing well together with your families due to this
uncertain time for all of us. COVID-19 pandemic hindered our lives but
it can't conquer the spirit that connects our nations. United in our
diversity, we are stronger than all the forces that want to divide us.
As we all join hands and strengths, we will overcome these challenges
together.
As scientists, we have to continue giving our contribution to human kind
by ensuring quality solutions in the field of agriculture, rural
development, environmental protection and forestry.
Therefore, we would like to remind you that The University of East
Sarajevo, Faculty of Agriculture (Bosnia and Herzegovina), University of
Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture (Serbia) and CIHEAM-Mediterranean
Agronomic Institute of Bari (CIHEAM Bari, Italy), in collaboration with
35 Research and Academia Institutions are co-organizing the 11th
International Agriculture Symposium "AGROSYM 2020", that will be held
Olympic Jahorina mountain (near Sarajevo) on 8-11 October 2020.
AGROSYM 2020 will deal with the following thematic areas:
1- Plant production;
2- Plant protection and food safety;
3- Organic agriculture;
4- Environment protection and natural resources management;
5- Animal husbandry;
6- Rural development and agro-economy; and
7- Forestry and agro-forestry.
In parallel to AGROSYM 2020 working sessions, some thematic side events
will be foreseen with a focus on Balkan area and CIHEAM Alumni
gathering, in particular PhD students and young researchers. Side events
will be dealing with Climate change mitigation; Coastal areas
management; Aliens pests; Youth and innovation in agro-foods; Gender
mainstreaming and research …etc.
The 11th edition of the Symposium will take place in the magnificent
Termag Hotel, situated in olympic Jahorina mountain, near Sarajevo.
In 2019, during the four-day of 10th Agrosym edition (3-6 October 2019),
we welcomed people from 85 countries to the event, and around 1000
papers were presented to more than 1000 participants.
Please note: Registration deadline for Abstract submission is April
20th, 2020 through this online address
