Our firm is putting together a bid for the *ASSESSMENT OF WEATHER
INFORMATION NEEDS AND DEVELOPMENT OF TAILORED MESSAGES AND ADVISORIES FOR
FISHERS, FISH PROCESSORS AND FISH TRADERS IN MANGOCHI, SALIMA, NKHOTAKOTA
AND NKHATABAY* funded by *UNDP Malawi.*
The assignment is envisaged to commence on the 12th of August 2018 over a
period of 5 months.
The main objective of the consultancy is *to develop and disseminate
tailored warnings and advisories for fishing communities to reduce their
vulnerability to climate induced weather patterns. *
For this mission we are looking for the *Climate change
Expert/Meteorologist *with the following profile
5 years of relevant working experience in weather forecasting or related
work.
Experience in development of weather/climate information packages for
public.
Experience and understanding of protocols relating to generation and
dissemination of short range/extreme weather forecasts and long term
seasonal forecasts.
Qualification: Master Degree in climate science or meteorology or in
related fields.
Qualification: Knowledge of local language
