Goat farming has been earmarked as an industry that could grow to the level of cattle farming. Botswana is a country known for quality meat exported to the European market. Currently, the government is working with farmers to come up with strategies that could increase the number of small stocks. An abattoir is currently under construction in the southern part of the country that will slaughter and export small stock.
