Dear Baitsi,
I trust that you are well today, and that all else is well on your end.
I write to introduce to you Access Agriculture, which is a world leading organization that produces quality agroecological training videos in local languages, primarily to facilitate farmer-to-farmer learning across the Global South.
This video learning approach has enabled over 90 million smallholder farmers all over the world to learn more about agroecological principles and rural entrepreneurship, leading to improved rural livelihoods and sustainable food systems. Our video libraries, as well as accompanying audios for platforms such as radio, are available for free on our website (www.accessagriculture.org<http://www.accessagriculture.org/>).
At the moment, we work in a number of countries in Africa (including Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and recently South Africa). In these African countries, we have teams of young people selected through the Young Entrepreneurs Challenge Fund and are equipped with a Smart Projector. These young people go out to communities that are off-grid (without electricity connections) and off-line (without internet connections), to show them the many wonderful videos in our library.
Currently we have released a Young Entrepreneurs Challenge Fund in South Africa. Through a competitive process, young people specifically in Limpopo and Eastern Cape, will win the Smart Projector.
